Whether you are a uniformed group, community group, corporate group or voluntary group, Lapwing Lodge Outdoor Centre offers flexibility, versatility and low cost facilities that will help you deliver your programmes and events seamlessly. Our friendly staff are there to assist you in any way they can to ensure that your needs are met and that your stay is enjoyable and memorable. Lapwing Lodge is owned and run by the West Region Scout Council.

Although Lapwing Lodge is a Scout Outdoor Centre, it’s not just for Scouts. We cater for all uniformed and non uniformed groups and individuals as well as catering for corporate events, business use or educational use.

Lapwing has the full range of accommodation and facilities. Our sleeping accommodation has recently been upgraded and now has new toilet and shower facilities. Together with our lounges, kitchens, dining rooms and breakout spaces, you’ll find staying at Lapwing comfortable and practical. Our daytime facilities are also available to hire and include kitchens, dining rooms, classrooms, activity halls and meeting spaces.

Of course we wouldn’t be an outdoor centre if we didn’t offer fun, variety and exhilarating activities. With around 25 acres of land and a 1km Loch, we have enough space for you to enjoy everything from Climbing to Kayaking and from Camping to Orienteering.

Whether your group wants to camp or self-cater indoors, Lapwing Lodge can accommodate you for a day visit, a weekend or longer.
